As of January 2025, we’ve distributed over 35,380 VF100 water filters in 26 countries. We’ve also drilled 17 wells, providing an estimated 3,572,900 gallons of clean water every day for over 295,900 people around the world.

Water for Life Charity is based in Midway, Utah, USA. We have numerous distribution partners that we coordinate with around the world to help us share clean water resources in 26 countries.

Water for Life Charity is based in Utah, USA. We distribute VF100 water filter systems and drill wells in 26 countries around the world including Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Haiti, Brazil, Tanzania, Kenya, Ghana, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Mali, Morocco, South Africa, Cambodia, the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Yemen, Vietnam, the Gaza Strip, Israel, Ukraine, the United States, and Fiji.

We believe that efficiency and sustainability is key to ending the world water crisis and sharing clean water. While Water for Life Charity focuses on funding and coordinating water projects, we work with aligned distribution partners to share water filters and drill wells where they are needed most. This helps us focus funding on actual water resources and less on logistics. These partners are based both in the US and in other countries.

This approach creates sustainability and builds a community of individuals and organizations around the world that are dedicated to solving the world water crisis.

About water filters and wells

Water for Life Charity distributes VF100 water filters and drills wells (boreholes) in developing countries. In addition to the physical filter or well, our volunteers and distribution partners also provide training on filter and well maintenance and water hygiene.

We believe that the water resource should fit the unique needs of each community. In larger communities, wells are a great solution. But in rural communities where families are more spread out or when water crises require immediate response, VF100 water filters are a more fitting solution.

A VF100 water filter system is a portable water filter. It uses a hollow-fiber membrane—the same technology used in kidney dialysis—to remove 99.99999% of protozoa and bacteria from water including E. coli, malaria, cholera, dysentery, and giardia, among other waterborne illnesses. This filter meets World Health Organization (WHO) standards and offers the highest bacteria and protozoa removal level while still maintaining a high water flow rate. It filters up to 10 gallons of water an hour and provides over 100,000 gallons of clean, safe water over its 5+ year lifetime.

VF100 water filters are small, lightweight, durable, and low maintenance, making them ideal for distribution to remote communities and disaster-impacted areas, or simply to keep on hand for a water emergency. VF100 water filters help individuals and their families access safe drinking water using the water available to them.

You can learn more about our filters by watching our explainer and assembly video.

The total cost for a filter system is about $30. This includes the cost for the filter itself, our unique Water for Life Charity prefilter, a bucket for the system, and some of the shipment/transportation to bring filters to local communities.
