Hollow fiber membranes located in the filter are made of small U-shaped micro tubes. Contaminated water enters the filter core by going through tiny micro pores. Each pore, or Point ONE Filter, is just 0.1-micron absolute, meaning that 99.99999% of protozoa and bacteria cannot pass into the filtered water. Of the water filter systems currently available, the VF100 offers the highest bacteria and protozoa removal while still maintaining a high flow rate.

Filter assembly & maintenance
To assemble a VF100 filter, a 1.5-inch hole is drilled in the bottom of a clean plastic bucket. The connector, hose, and filter are then screwed onto the bucket. After being filled with water from virtually any source, the filter head is lowered below the water line to allow gravity to move water through the filter.
High water flow rate removes the need to store water, largely reducing the risk of contamination. Working on gravity alone, the filter is a cost-efficient solution to provide safe drinking water to numerous individuals and families.
