Working with our distribution partner Cultivating Cambodia, Water for Life Charity shared clean water with two communities in need of clean water in Cambodia.

The first community we worked with was in the Svay Chek commune. VF100 water filters were shared with 45 families lacking clean water in this community. Three other filters were installed in a new school in Svay Chek.

Similar to our past water project with Cultivating Cambodia and their schools, connecting VF100 water filters to water faucets at schools lets students and teachers alike have clean water throughout the day. This allows students to focus on their studies, while also allowing them to bring clean, safe water back home to their families at the end of their classes.

The second community we shared clean water with was the Meachrey floating village in Siem Reap province. The river this community is built on top of is its literal lifeblood. It is their home, their work, and also their source for water. But the water they use from the river is also contaminated and contains harmful waterborne illnesses.

VF100 water filters are life changing and lifesaving resources for this community.

This floating village has never had access to clean, safe water before, but now, they can use the river water available to them and make it safe for drinking, cooking, and sanitation. Volunteers distributed 50 water filters to families in this community and taught them filter maintenance and water hygiene to ensure that these individuals, children and families can have hope and health from clean water for years to come.

Working with trusted community leaders and organizations allow us to locate and work with communities that are most in need of clean water and the opportunities that it provides but are least likely to receive clean water resources. Water filters in particular provide immediate relief to the local water crisis and use the water available—be it a contaminated well or river—to provide clean, safe water.
